October Surprise: Armageddon With A Cherry On Top

I’m the adult male of a three-member household in Connecticut.  The only reason why that’s significant is that my household is one of 750,000 in our state without power in the wake of a freak October snow storm.  Trees could not bear the weight of the snow along with their leaves, so they fell and pulled down power lines with them.  I was forced to drive to the local Dunkin’ Donuts for this blog entry.  The pictures tell the story:
