Hoisting the flag of resistance

Islam, Religious dialogue

John Rankin of Hartford’s Theological Education Institute remains steadfast.  Rankin, a man of gentle persistence and stubborn patience, is revving up his pressure the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, which plans on burning the Qur’an on September 11.  He’s calling all who can to flock to Gainesville and peacefully hold up signs that declare: “The Bible is Against Burning The Qur’an, http://www.johnrankin.org.”  See his call here.  Rankin points to his own web site so viewers can read his explanations.

This is shrewd.  The signs will appear in any video of the burning.

It is no exaggeration to say that lives are on the line.  If you can get there, get there.  If you cannot, find another way to protest.   It is time for the peacemakers to become active and make peace.

Go for it, John.

There needs to be an action of Christians and Muslims together AT the site in prayer.
