Intriguing accusations, to be sure: Steve Forbes claims scientific evidence for human-induced climate change is mere “socialism in drag” (those East Coast cold snaps prove it); Fox News commentator Eric Bolling says researchers concocted global warming in their scheme to fund their Antarctic vacations. Who needs pristine Bahama beaches and frozen daiquiris when we can bamboozle gullible agencies into sending us to the land of howling winds and sub-zero temperatures?
Shall we remind ourselves that there’s more to the Earth than the right half of the United States? Many of the temperatures in Europe and Australia have been up while ours have been down, and NASA (a socialist-in drag agency?) tabulated world-wide warming trends and found that we marched on, unabated, last year. That doesn’t bode well for our children’s future.
I’ll come clean: I’ve always wanted to visit Antarctica – in the summer. Maybe I’m displaying the following graphic, also found here and compiled by the people at learnstuff.com, because of my scandalous longing. I’m a very bad man.
